Swim / Tennis
For the first time ever, Hoo’s Well eligible participants may take advantage of our great swim or tennis lessons! Choose between Swim Lessons offered June 15-July 8 (Beginner or Adv-Beginner) or Tennis Lessons offered June 15-July 24 (Beginner-Power Tennis).
Swim lessons will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings at NGRC June 15-July 8.
- Beginners at 6:00PM
- Advanced Beginners at 7:00PM.
Tennis Lessons, once per week, from June 15-July 24:
- Beginner Mondays at 6:00PM
- Advanced Beginner Wednesdays at 6:00PM
- Intermediate Wednesdays at 7:00PM
- All levels welcome for Power Tennis on Mondays at 7:00PM

Couch to 5K
Running a 5K is within reach! A fitness professional will coach you through 45-minute sessions twice per week with a running program designed to gradually and safely progress you from day one to the finish. This 9 week program will include group outdoor conditioning (weather permitting), a plan for individual training on alternative days, and group educational sessions all with the goal of completing a local Charlottesville 5K! Participation is FREE for UVa Health Plan-covered employees and spouses as part of the Hoo's Well program.

Hoo’s Well Pop-Up Pilates
The practice and principles of Pilates help train your body to move from a strong core by developing strength and flexibility using your body and gravity to create resistance. Drop in to Pilates to better understand the importance of "the core" in other forms of exercise and in daily life, leaving you stronger, more centered and equipped with tools for maintaining and strengthening the muscles that support the spine. All levels of practice are welcome.

Hoo’s Well Pop-Up Cycle
Come Cycle with us! Designed for all fitness levels this indoor class will introduce you to the bike and make sure you know how to properly adjust it for your body. It involves various cycling drills that offer a heart pumping cardiovascular workout by progressing through simulated hill-climbing, sprints and races.

Hoo’s Well Pop-Up Yoga
This class will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed, and renewed. The sequence of movements is designed to counterbalance the stresses of everyday life and to improve strength and flexibility. All levels of practice are welcome.
