The University has a great responsibility to its students, faculty and staff when considering the return to full operations. We are ready and eager to provide the UVA community with fitness and recreational opportunities once the University is able to return to comprehensive operations safely and effectively. When we initially open, we will start with the fitness area at the AFC and the pool at NGRC. The hours and experience will be modified to ensure safety for students, members and staff. We will announce opening details as soon as possible.

Mysore Ashtanga Yoga

Mysore Ashtanga Yoga

Time: 7:30am to 8:30am

Mysore is a style of teaching and practicing Ashtanga Yoga where individuals are taught in a group setting. Students work through fixed sequences of poses at your own pace and level while relying on the teacher for instruction, guidance, inspiration and physical adjustments. This is for all different levels of students, but especially for those of you who want to take up a regular yoga practice 3-6 days a week. Participants may arrive at any time during class hours. Check schedule details for best times for beginners to attend morning Mysore classes. Offered in partnership with the Contemplative Sciences Center.
